Howdy Ya'll from MRs. Winterton's Classroom!
My name is Angie Winterton and I've been teaching 30 years, twenty years at Cary Elementary! I went to college at Arkansas State and graduated at The University of Arkansas at Little Rock. I began teaching in 1985 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and came to North Carolina in 1995 when the Razorbacks beat Duke for the National Championship in basketball! Yes I am a huge SEC fan and can call the hogs with the best of them! I am originally from a small town in Arkansas and I do mean small! No stop lights or fancy restaurants just the simple life!! I love to tap and took dance all my life! My mom was my dance teacher! I cheered in high school, played basketball back when girls played half court and played the trombone in the band! I have 3 wonderful children Adison 32, Evan 30 and Annah 29! I have loved watching them grow into adults and can not believe the time went by so fast! I also have 5 stepchildren and 2 precious grandchildren that call me GiGi. Family is very important to me and I go back home to Arkansas every chance I get. In my spare time I love to read and take naps! I love to lay by the ocean in the summer and work in my yard. My favorite time of the year is fall when college football is in full swing! I love teaching Kindergarten and realize that everything you really need to know you can learn from a Kindergartener!!
